Renowned for his vibrant colours and organic shaped canvases, Jan Kaláb, is releasing a limited miniature collection of his paintings on November 24, 2023. Each hand painted on oval canvases, this collection features 7 different styles, each one with a limited edition of 50 pieces. Inspired and imitated from his previous series, such as Voids and Relief Canvases, Jan says, “I’ve done various mini paintings editions in the past. This year, I decided to do the smallest size.
This size, which you can easily hold in your hand like a cell phone and you can slide easily in your pocket. They fit on any wall or in any pocket. I choose 7 styles because there are 7 days in a week.”
About Jan Kaláb
Emerging from Prague, Czechoslovakia, in 1978, Jan Kaláb has established himself as a prominent figure in the contemporary Czech art scene. His creative journey is marked by an array of art forms, including paintings, sculptures, installations, and street murals, all unified by their vivid and abstract nature.
Kaláb’s art is distinguished by its dynamic use of colour, often employing vibrant neon shades of blue, pink, and orange.
