Soluna Fine Art is pleased to present Kim, Young-Hun’s solo exhibit Diamond Mountain: Electron Nostalgia from April 3 to June 6, 2020. This will be Kim’s first solo exhibit with the gallery. The exhibit features ten paintings that are the latest in Kim’s ongoing ten year old series entitled Electron Nostalgia. The high impact color paintings combine the traditional Korean painting technique Hyukpil with contemporary impressions of digital screen glitches.
Soluna Fine Art will host a panel discussion on the relationship between art and technology in the 21st century while deciphering the intersection of Kim’s Electron Nostalgia in that relationship. The panel on May 13 features Dr. Alvaro Cassinelli, Associate Professor at City University Hong Kong’s School of Creative Media and Tam Wai Ping Lukas, Associate Professor at The Chinese University Hong Kong’s Department of Fine Art.
