BAD+ Bordeaux Art & Design has expanded its team by hiring Haily Grenet as Deputy Fair Manager and Victoria Gandit Lelandais as Director of External Relations. They will be working alongside Jean-Daniel Compain, Co-Founder and Fair Manager, and Marie Maertens, Artistic Director.
BAD+ Bordeaux Art & Design is a leading event that aims to establish an international art and design week in Bordeaux. It is the first international fair to be held in the famous wine-growing region, and it celebrates the links between art, design, and the French concept of ‘art de vivre.’ Haily Grenet has been appointed as the Deputy Fair Manager to Jean-Daniel Compain, the co-founder and Fair Manager of the event. With her expertise as a cultural entrepreneur who has directed several international fairs, Grenet brings valuable experience to the BAD+ team.
The fair is aiming to enhance its external relations and personalized services for its collectors with the appointment of Victoria Gandit Lelandais as the Director of External Relations. She will be responsible for guiding collectors, VIPs, and institutional guests on the Entre’vues itinerary, which includes visits to partner wineries such as Château Smith Haut-Lafitte, Château Chasse-Spleen, Château d’Arsac, Château Lynch-Bages, the Edmond de Rothschild Heritage Châteaux, Château Pape Clément, and Château de Ferrand. This will showcase the exceptional charm of the Bordeaux region to collectors and enthusiasts of art and lifestyle from all over the world.
Victoria Gandit Lelandais is an art historian with extensive experience working for international institutions such as Yvon Lambert, Christie’s, and Hôtel Drouot. She has also served as the Director of the Collectors’ Circle at Art Dubai. She has collaborated with leading private and institutional players such as Groupe Terrot, Fondation Ullens, Art For Action, and Abu Dhabi Art. Additionally, Victoria Gandit Lelandais holds the Director of External Relations position at OFFSCREEN Paris.
Marie Maertens is the new Artistic Director of the fair. She will be orchestrating this year’s 2024 edition with a strong focus on the United States. This is in line with the 60th anniversary of the twinning of the cities of Bordeaux and Los Angeles, two regional capitals with a unique international influence. As in previous years, BAD+ will bring together historical and contemporary works, as well as new discoveries in art and design. These will be presented by a selection of major and emerging galleries from France, Europe, and beyond. Jean-Daniel Compain and BEAM (Bordeaux Events And More) founded BAD+ Bordeaux Art & Design.
