To celebrate their 15th anniversary, Pangolin London will be opening a major exhibition featuring an extraordinary collection of over 35 sculptures, drawings, paintings, and ceramics by the greatest British sculptors of the 20th and 21st centuries. This milestone exhibition is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the power of sculpture demonstrating the gallery’s commitment to push the boundaries of their specialism in all its forms.

As one of the UK’s leading sculpture galleries, Pangolin London are renowned for focusing onthe historic developments of British Sculpture as well as the cutting-edge contemporary. Over the past 15 years they have represented an impressive stable of both established and emerging artists as well as artist estates, and in doing so have curated 90 dynamic exhibitions, produced 60 insightful catalogues and handled over 5,000 spectacular objects.

From a radical AI work by Zachary Eastwood-Bloom to Susie MacMurray’s 300 kilo garment sculpture of Medusa made from chain mail which took over a year to hand craft, Pangolin London’s anniversary exhibition will showcase the most impressive sculpture. Additionally, stunning ceramics by Merete Rasmussen and bold, sculptural drawings by Nigel Hall RA demonstrate the range of media on offer. Highlights of the exhibition also include work by internationally-acclaimed Lynn Chadwick whose instantly-recognisable sculptures have cemented his position as a leading figure in the history of British and European sculpture.

Over the past 15 years Pangolin London have fostered a genuine home for sculpture in the bustling area of Kings Cross. They have watched the area transform around them and have helped to pioneer a vibrant space where creativity flourishes. Their speciality extends beyond their sleek, specially designed gallery to the public spaces and canal-side of the culture hub Kings Place which was created by visionary developer Peter Millican and architects Dixon Jones.

Alongside its exhibition programme, Pangolin London are dedicated to supporting sculpture from grass roots, by organising a bi-annual sculpture residency in collaboration with the PJLF Arts Fund. Now looking forward to their sixth residency, this incredible opportunity helps to support casting and exhibition costs, making way for the next generation of sculptors.

Over the years, Pangolin London have helped to shape the landscape of contemporary sculpture in the UK and beyond. This 15 year anniversary exhibition is a visual feast, offering visitors a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of sculptural forms and techniques. Large-scale outdoor pieces will be displayed alongside intricate indoor installations providing a comprehensive snapshot of the contemporary sculpture scene.

Through Pangolin London’s unique affiliation with Europe’s largest sculpture foundry, Pangolin Editions, the gallery are able to offer a unrivalled service to both collector and artist alike with expertise in all areas of the making, commissioning and installation of sculpture.

Unlike other galleries, Pangolin London is much more than an exhibition space and offers a range of different services such as sculpture consultancy, valuation of works and estates, collection management, shipping, framing and installation services, as well as providing art historical talks and lectures on sculpture. Continuing to lead the world of sculpture, this autumn Pangolin London will be launching a new digital platform to promote collecting sculpture.
