The Blush Upon Her Cheek is a multidisciplinary exhibition featuring works by Leo Costelloe, Florence Reekie and Ki Yoong. The exhibition draws inspiration from the Windsor Beauties, a set of eleven portraits painted by Sir Peter Lely in the 1660s, which depict the ladies of King Charles II’s court. The three artists explore the problematic issues surrounding the cultivation and appreciation of beauty in contemporary society.
Leo Costelloe is an Irish-Australian artist who currently resides and works in London. They earned a BA in Jewellery Design from Central Saint Martins in 2021. Costelloe has held two solo exhibitions in London at Ridley Road Project Space (2022) and Kupfer Gallery (2023), as well as a duo show at Guts Gallery in London (2023) curated by Helen Neven. They received the Swarovski Scholar Award in 2020, and have worked with various brands and institutions such as Show Studio, The British Fashion Council, and Dover Street Market in New York. In September 2020, Leo participated in a glass residency program with artist Andrea Spencer in Northern Ireland.
Ki Yoong is a professional artist who resides and works in London. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art from The University of Leeds and his Master of Fine Arts degree from Central Saint Martins. In 2023, he held his first solo exhibition with Slugtown in Norwich. His works have been featured in group exhibitions by numerous galleries, including Marlborough Gallery and Brooke Benington in London, among others. Ki Yoong has also collaborated with various brands and institutions such as Vogue, Alex Eagle, Paul Smith, and The House of St Barnabas.

Florence Reekie is an artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She recently completed the Turps Correspondence Course (2021-2022) and presented her first solo exhibition with MAMA in London in 2023. Florence was also shortlisted for the John Moores Painting Prize that same year. In 2021, she was awarded the Art Fund’s ‘Museum of the Year’ Aberdeen Art Gallery Micro Commission. Her work has been showcased in several group exhibitions by galleries such as Artistellar Gallery in London (2023) and Art on a Postcard’s War Child Auction at Soho Revue in London (2023), among others.
