Dapaah Gallery is pleased to announce the London debut solo exhibition of the incredible rising star and contemporary Ugandan artist, Ronald Mugabe.
“Homeless Not Hopeless”, is a story about turning pain to power, and trauma to triumph.
The exhibition of 10 stunning works, documents a chapter of the artist’s life as a street kid in Kampala, living rough, and surviving off his wits, creativity, and the bonds of solidarity, love and friendship shared between fellow street kids and orphans.
Despite their circumstances and surroundings, they never lost their optimism, spirit, and their sense of hope that a better day would come, and indeed for Ronald, it would.
