Moniker Art Fair
2nd October – 6th October, 2019
Chelsea Sorting Office
London
We had the pleasure of attending the V.I.P. preview opening of the Moniker Art Fair. This year marks its 10th anniversary, and it is known as the best street art fair, providing collectors with access to both emerging and established artists in the industry.
Street art has become the aesthetic of many significant cities around the world and has gained popularity in auction houses. Its visual commentary on social and political issues has pushed it into the contemporary art room, where it is now placed among other emerging disciplines, such as Pop Art and Mixed Media.
In recent years, The Fair has broken sales records on its opening days, offering buyers the opportunity to purchase works starting from £25. Moniker is carefully curated, providing diverse artists and works. The fair is also interactive, offering group workshops and talks to keep visitors engaged.
This year’s exhibition had some exceptional pieces from well-known names such as Pure Evil and Dolk and more; we saw Ben Allen’s live painting and some personal favourites, which caught our eye from Alice Irwin, who is represented by Art Ate Gallery, Ken Nwadiogbu and great select of works and artists from Eva Gallery. Overall, the Moniker Art Fair is well laid out and was a great experience in a good venue and, of course, great art.
Moniker Art Fair is on from the 2nd of October until the 6th of October 2019 at The Chelsea Sorting Office
