The new documentary “MAKE ME FAMOUS” aims to shed light on the 1980s art scene and uncover the stories of many talented artists, photographers, and others who have been overshadowed by time.

While the 1980s made many artists famous and household names, many other artists made a lasting impact. “MAKE ME FAMOUS,” tells the story of the Lower East Side art movement through the eyes of well-connected painter Edward Brezinski‘s quest for fame.

Make Me Famous” is an intimate portrait of what it was like to be an artist in New York City in the 1980s. It delves into the artists’ spirit, what drove their generation and what they were up against. Following the talented Edward Brezinski as he famously eats a Donut from a Robert Gober sculpture at the Paula Cooper Gallery and all that follows and unearths the truth about what happened to Brezinski and his mysterious death in the Côte d’Azur.

MAKE ME FAMOUS  is an intriguing yet funny exploration of artistic success’s struggles, triumphs and pain as Brezinski does everything he can to attain recognition in New York’s booming art scene.
