MadC made her name in graffiti, working large-scale and outdoors, long before her paintings entered galleries. Over time, her materials changed—glass, canvas, digital forms—but the sense of movement remained.

Her latest collaboration, Never Stop Moving, finds her working with the German design studio Eins Zu Eins. Together, they’ve created a series of furniture pieces that carry both function and gesture. Colour plays across surfaces. Edges curve, taper, lift. Nothing sits still for long.

Eins Zu Eins brings technical precision and a sharp understanding of materials; MadC brings the energy of a hand in motion. The result is work that isn’t trying to disguise its origins. It doesn’t pretend to be sculpture, but it isn’t just a table, either.

What emerges is something in-between: objects shaped by use, but also by instinct. Things meant to be lived with, not just looked at.

The title Never Stop Moving suggests both physical motion and creative evolution. What personal or artistic experiences led to this theme?

MadC: I come from a graffiti background and have mastered the craft to its fullest extent. Once I reached that level, I sought new directions—developing a unique artistic style and expanding into different mediums. My journey has taken me into digital art, glass installations, sculptures, and now, furniture. To me, learning is a lifelong process. We constantly adapt to new situations, and challenges are essential for growth. In the creative sphere, we can create those challenges ourselves by exploring unfamiliar fields. For me, the latest challenge was designing a table—not just any table, but one that adapts to various life situations, much like we do as humans.

Your work has always had a strong sense of fluidity and speed. How did you translate that into this collection’s designs?

MadC: This table defies conventional shapes—it’s dynamic and offers a unique perspective from every angle. Whether folded or standing solid, its form is constantly shifting. The color arrangement further enhances this dynamism, with transparent layers overlapping to create a sense of movement. It aligns perfectly with my artistic style, bringing fluidity and energy into a functional object.

Did you approach this collection differently than your past collaborations? What made this process unique?

MadC: This project was distinct because I had to immerse myself in the principles of structural stability. Unlike traditional artwork, a table must not only be visually striking but also functional and durable. I envisioned a transformable sculpture—an artistic statement that could also serve as a practical, everyday object. The table’s asymmetrical design made this even more complex, requiring extensive prototyping and countless iterations to achieve the final result.

What emotions or messages do you hope people feel when they interact with pieces from Never Stop Moving?

MadC: I want to ignite curiosity, spark creativity, and bring a sense of playfulness to those who engage with this piece. My goal is to create a moment of wonder—something that makes people’s eyes light up. At the same time, I wanted to design a piece of furniture that evolves with the user, adapting to different life situations just as we do.

How did the collaboration with Eins zu Eins shape the final look and feel of the collection? Did their expertise in design influence any creative decisions?

MadC: Eins zu Eins brought an incredible level of professionalism to the process, particularly in usability, material quality, and functional design. Their commitment to excellence aligned with my own, ensuring that every aspect of the table—from durability to aesthetics—met the highest standards. The entire process took nearly two years, involving rigorous testing and refinement, but in the end, we created something that truly embodies the essence of Never Stop Moving.
