Jeremy Till, Head of Central Saint Martins, Pro Vice-Chancellor UAL.
“I am excited to open the doors to our first physical showcase since 2019. Although the online showcase has grown in status in the intervening period, it is wonderful to regain the visceral thrill of coming together in a celebration of graduate work.
“This year all our graduating, students across the undergraduate and postgraduate
programmes are showing under one roof.
This has meant some adjustments to the way that work is curated and displayed – a necessary shift in the post-pandemic world where values and systems are undergoing re-evaluation. “It is also, at a personal level, my final show after ten years as Head of Central Saint Martins. I know that I will ache with the loss of close connection to the intense energy and intelligence that this showcase displays, but at the same time will feel emphatically proud of being part of the extraordinary creative community that is Central Saint Martins. We are here to make a change; this showcase gives brilliant evidence as to how we are collectively doing it.”
Jose Miguel Sokoloff, CCO MullenLowe Group London
“Art benefits everyone it touches and for the past decade my purpose has been to bring the brilliance of emerging talent to the forefront of the creative community. Our collaboration with Central Saint Martins has given us a fantastic opportunity to see the relationships we have with the world around us through the eyes of exceptionally talented creators. We’re privileged to be able to recognise their inventiveness while making a significant contribution to help them continue their creative path.
“The breadth of creative thinking is as diverse as the mediums the students use, and to say the work is incredibly inspiring is an understatement. It’s important for me to share this work with a wider audience and make it accessible for everyone through our YourNOVA ‘People’s Choice’ initiative. It’s an honour to be able share the joy and wonder of unbridled creativity with the far corners of the world.”
This year’s show identity is designed by Three Gleave, Sahar Mangal, Georgina Pratt and Yume Watanabe, third-year students from BA (Hons) Graphic Communication Design.
