In Peckham, more than 60 LGBTQIA+ artists, designers and makers gather for Queeriosities, with a new exhibition on queer world-building.

Queeriosities — billed as the United Kingdom’s largest queer art and makers fair — will return to the Copeland Gallery in Peckham from 26 to 28 September 2025, bringing together more than 60 LGBTQIA+ artists, designers and independent makers from across Britain and abroad.

Now in its fourth edition, the fair has become a fixture of South London’s cultural calendar. Visitors will find artist stalls, a curated group exhibition, public programming and informal spaces designed for gathering and conversation. Last year’s edition drew more than 2,000 people; organisers say this year’s event is expected to surpass that.

The fair showcases work ranging from hand-thrown ceramics to contemporary painting, printed ephemera and collectible design — all created by LGBTQIA+ artists. This year’s lineup includes newcomers such as designer Emily Witham, fashion designer Albarella, painter Katja Farin and jeweller happybellyman. They join returning names like Richard Kilroy, Lily Deason, El(ena) Hoskyns-Abrahall, Oli Raptor and The Common Press.

Anchoring the fair is We Come to This Place for Magic, a fine-art exhibition curated by Davy Pittoors. The show presents new work by six emerging queer artists — Paul Majek, Devynn Barnes, Theo Dunne, Krzysztof Strzelecki, Marf Summers and Lawrence Cuevas. Their practices span installation, painting, ceramics and performance, exploring queer world-building as both refuge and resistance.

The exhibition considers how queer artists imagine and construct alternative futures in a moment when the world can feel increasingly unstable and hostile to queer lives. The works offer intimate, otherworldly reflections on queer experience today.
